The papers are reporting on who the "official Candidates" for Non Voting Delegate are. Polls (you know, the ridiculous, unscientific, internet/blog type polls) are springing up with the list of supposed candidates.
The truth of the matter is that we don’t really know who the certified candidates are until September 20th. The last day for the Election Commission’s “action on nominating petitions and candidacy documents.” Meaning, the last day for the signatures on the nominating petitions to be verified and the last day for the EC to determine that all the other candidacy requirements have been met by the applicants... not to mention making sure that their checks didn't bounce.
September 20th might be a pretty good day to start a results-are-likely-to-be-wishful-thinking-while-preaching-to-the-choir poll found on local blog sites.
Think premature ejaculation.

They should have the candidates complete the ten day "Master Cleanse" program before they can be elected. IMHO they could all use it.
Bruce, are you just jealous that I put a poll up first?
You couldn't find a less frustrating analogy? There are too many candidates for my taste, feel like maybe they'll water down the possibility for an effective one to get in.
HEHHH master clense.....We would need a bigger island.
*******
No, Angelo, in fact I voted on your poll. The fact remains, we won't know for another 43 days.
Ed, by the way, beat you to the poll punch by a couple of weeks I think. There may be others.

No question about it Boni, this many candidates and no run off regulations mean that any of the candidates , good or bad, could win with votes from a tiny fraction of the populace....and will.
There is light at the end of the tunel, however. When they get there, whoever it is will not be voting. BIBA APPEARENCES!!
Where is Bateman on that list?
Must be a communist plot to keep me off the list.
Communist not, It's just Common Sense.
I'm waiting to figure which candidates are certified and which are certifiable. There may be some overlap.
Do a poll every week. That way we can track government/non-government, Carolinian dog owners, Chamorros with gas guzzlers. Make an industry out of it and pick up the economy.
I'm with you, Ken. Poll-a-week.
Put me on the certifiable list.
